Laura's Snowy Plover pictures

These first photos are of a Snowy Plover at Park Point in Duluth, MN, originally discovered by Shawn Zierman on May 30, 2007, and rediscovered by Harold Nordin on a Spring Warbler Walk on May 31, 2007.
The above 9 photos and one to left digiscoped with Zeiss 85 mm Diascope and fixed 30x eyepiece and the Sony W100 camera (handheld with homemade adaptor)
Above 6 photos and 2 to left taken with Sony DSC-H5 held up to Zeiss Diascope and to Larry and Jan Kraemer's Swarovski spotting scope
The next photos below were taken in Santa Barbara, California, in 2005
Above 12 and 2 to the left from UCSB campus, August, 2005, with Nikon DigiScope 7.1

Above from UCSB campus August, 2005, with Sony DSC-H1
Above 9 photos digiscoped at Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge July 11, 2006, using Zeiss 85 mm Diascope and Zoom Eyepiece, and the Sony DSC-H5 camera (handheld against the scope). From the MOU RBA: The first SNOWY PLOVER was found July 1st, by Peder Svingen and Phil Chu, in Big Stone County, just southeast of the town of Odessa, and two days later two Snowy Plovers were seen in this area. The chicks were first reported by Bob Ekblad, Chris Benson and Dedrick Benz on July 8. Directions: From Highway 75, take the one-way north on the dike.  Park at the shed. To the west of the shed follow the old road bed to a row of trees north of the old quarry.  Continue past the trees onto the point.  The birds were across the waterway to the north, well camouflaged in a rocky area.
These 4 photos digiscoped at Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge July 11, 2006, using Zeiss 85 mm Diascope and Zoom Eyepiece, and the Canon SD-500.
