December 2, 2004, a day when I was doubly blessed--I had my window open because there was a blizzard and the little Rufous Hummingbird visiting my feeders was cold--I was letting her fly in and out to warm up. And not only did she fly into my office a few times--this Pileated Woodpecker flew to the window and the box elder tree right outside the window while the window was wide open, allowing a splendid opportunity for photographs! I took them with my Sony DSC-F717.
